3. Important Disclaimer & Non-Affiliation
Please Read Carefully:
- This is NOT an official government service
- We are not affiliated with the Supreme Court of India, any High Court, District Court, Tribunal, eCourts Services, the Department of Justice, or any other judicial or government body
- Information is provided for reference and case-management purposes only; it is not legal advice
- Always verify case details against the official court record before acting on them
- We are not responsible for any decisions, filings, or missed deadlines resulting from reliance on our data
4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
As a user, you agree to:
- Provide an accurate phone number and (where applicable) email for authentication and notifications
- Only track cases in which you have a legitimate interest — as a party, counsel, authorised representative, journalist, researcher, or family member of a party
- Respect the privacy of case parties and applicable court reporting restrictions (including in-camera, POCSO, matrimonial, and juvenile matters)
- Not use the Service for any illegal, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent purpose
- Not share your account credentials; you are responsible for all activity under your account
- Not attempt to hack, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Automated access and data extraction:
- You may not scrape, crawl, mirror, harvest, or bulk-download content from the Service by any means (including bots, headless browsers, or scripted HTTP clients)
- You may not access the Service through undocumented or reverse-engineered APIs
- You may not use the Service to build, train, benchmark, or evaluate a competing product
- Published content, including case metadata, order summaries, and hearing schedules, may not be redistributed, syndicated, or sold without our prior written consent
5. Account Terms & Termination
- You must provide a valid Indian mobile number to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login method
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service
- One account per person; multiple accounts or account sharing are not permitted
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and subscription fees paid for the breach-triggered termination are non-refundable.
- You may close your account at any time by contacting support; your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy
6. Team & Firm Subscriptions
For Firm / Corporate tier subscriptions that include multiple seats:
- The user who creates the team is the team owner and is the contracting party with us for billing, seat changes, and account management
- Individuals added to the team ("team members") access the Service under the team owner's subscription; they are bound by these Terms through their use of the Service
- The team owner is responsible for ensuring that team members are authorised to access the cases, orders, and documents shared within the team workspace
- When a team member is removed, cases and documents they shared with the team remain with the team; their personal (non-team) data remains under their individual account
- White-labelled client share links display team branding; the team owner is responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of that branding
7. Subscription Plans and Pricing
India Case Status is a paid subscription service:
- Paid Plans: Available in monthly and yearly billing cycles, with varying case tracking limits and feature sets
- All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
- Current pricing is available on our Pricing page
We may modify pricing and promotional offers with prior notice. Existing paid subscriptions continue at their current rate until the end of the current billing cycle.
8. Payments
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorised payment aggregator. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service.
- We accept UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and wallets
- All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols
- India Case Status does not store your payment card details — card information is handled securely by Razorpay
- You will receive a payment confirmation via email and/or WhatsApp upon a successful transaction
- If a payment fails and the amount is debited, it will be automatically reversed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days
9. Renewal and Cancellation
- Renewal: Some plans are one-time payments for a fixed term; others renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. Your plan's renewal behaviour is shown in your account settings
- Cancellation: Cancellations are processed on request. Email contact@indiacasestatus.com from the address on your account or raise a request through our contact form and we will action it within 2 business days
- Access after cancellation: You retain full access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for
- No partial billing: We do not charge for partial cycles
For refund eligibility and timelines, please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Data Sources and Accuracy
Our case information is aggregated from publicly accessible court records and portals operated by the Indian judiciary and allied agencies, including (but not limited to) eCourts Services, the Supreme Court of India portal, High Court portals, tribunal websites, and cause lists published by courts.
- We do not own or control these third-party sources and are not responsible for their accuracy, completeness, availability, or changes to their data format
- Information on our platform may be delayed, incomplete, or out of date relative to the official record
- We do not guarantee real-time updates or 100% accuracy
- Where our platform links to, or embeds, third-party court portals or documents, we are not responsible for the content, availability, or functioning of those portals
- Always confirm critical information — hearing dates, order contents, filing deadlines — directly with the official court record
11. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep the platform continuously available:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous operation
- The platform may be unavailable during planned maintenance, emergency fixes, or events beyond our control (including third-party court portal outages)
- Features, pricing, and plan limits may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid subscribers
- We do not offer a specific uptime SLA unless separately agreed in a signed enterprise contract
12. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations if the failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control. These include, without limitation: acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, fire, flood, earthquake, war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, court or government orders, changes in law, shutdown or restriction of judicial portals or eCourts systems, disruption of payment gateways or telecommunications networks, failure of upstream cloud or data-centre providers, and large-scale internet or infrastructure outages. During such events, we will make reasonable efforts to restore the Service.
13. Notifications and Consent
By using the Service, you consent to receive the following communications:
- Case status updates, hearing reminders, cause-list alerts, and order notifications on your registered phone number, WhatsApp, and email
- Subscription, payment, billing, and account-related communications (transactional)
- Service announcements, downtime notices, and product updates
You may manage notification preferences in your account settings, or opt out of case-update notifications by removing those cases. Transactional communications (payment, cancellation, security alerts) cannot be opted out of for as long as you maintain an account with us. Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (as and when its provisions come into force).
14. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership
The Service, including its source code, design, user interface, brand, logos, algorithms, enriched data, order summaries, extracted text, classifications, and aggregated analytics, is owned by Questlore Indian Gamer Media LLP and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in the Service or its underlying IP.
Your data vs our data:
- Your data — the cases, case numbers, client references, notes, labels, documents, and team settings you add — remains yours. You retain the right to export or delete it (subject to legal retention obligations), and we process it only to operate the Service for you
- Our data — our proprietary enrichment of public court records (parsed orders, extracted text, structured metadata, classifications, advocate directory, and aggregated, anonymised usage analytics) — remains ours. You may view and use this as part of the Service, but you do not acquire any rights in it
- You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute our enriched data, scraped text, or the aggregated court index outside the Service without our prior written permission
15. Feedback
If you send us feedback, feature ideas, bug reports, or suggestions ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use that Feedback for any purpose, including to improve the Service, without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you. Feedback is voluntary; please do not send us anything you consider confidential or that you are not authorised to share.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business, data, or goodwill
- We are not liable for missed court dates, missed filings, adverse orders, or litigation outcomes arising from reliance on Service data or notification delivery
- We are not liable for outages, delays, or errors originating from third-party court portals, payment gateways, telecom networks, or cloud providers
- Our total aggregate liability, in contract or in tort, shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us for the current subscription period
- We do not provide legal advice; please consult a qualified advocate for any legal matter
17. Intermediary Status and Statutory Compliance
India Case Status acts as an "intermediary" under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 in respect of information, cases, notes, and documents that users upload or submit through the Service. We claim the safe-harbour protection available under Section 79 of that Act and comply, to the extent applicable, with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
We also comply, to the extent applicable, with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as and when its provisions come into force.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights or violates law, please contact our Grievance Officer (see Section 20) with sufficient detail to identify the content.
18. Service Modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time with reasonable prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through the Service, email, or WhatsApp. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If the Service is permanently discontinued, active paid subscribers will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of their current billing cycle.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of India. Subject to the grievance redressal process in Section 20, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, if you have any complaints or grievances regarding the Service, payments, content, or these Terms, you may contact our Grievance Officer:
